Welcome!

to the 2nd Indo-German Symposium on "Modeling Chemical and Biological (Re)Activity". The Symposium will be held in Wildbad Kreuth, a small resort village at the southern border of Bavaria, on 04th - 07th October 2009. In organizing this second symposium we strive to deepen contacts made during the first symposium in Hyderabad in 2007, in particular in those areas where collaborative interactions at the interface of computational chemistry and biology are most apparent.

The scientific program will include lectures on the following subtopics:

  1. Methods for Large Molecular Systems
  2. Non-covalent Interactions
  3. Quantitative Aspects of Catalysis
  4. Organic Reaction Mechanisms
  5. Reactivity Descriptors
  6. Biological Activity
  7. Drug-Receptor Interactions

In addition the symposium will include one session on the development of joint graduate education programs in our area of research.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Kreuth,

- Prof. Dr. Hendrik Zipse, German Coordinator.
- Dr. G. Narahari Sastry, Indian Coordinator.
